With up to 600,000 visitors a year, it is one of the most visited museums in Germany. In ten outstanding interior rooms of the castle – in the Ottheinrich Building, the Ludwigsbau, and the dome-crowned Apothecary Tower – the world's most extensive and high-quality collection on the history of pharmacy is presented. Two main themes form the red thread through the exhibition in an interesting and vivid way: “The pharmacy as a workplace” and “The medicine”.
