The Benedictine abbey is located on the outskirts of Heidelberg in the anterior Neckar valley.
The monastery church is open daily from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. During this time, the public areas of the monastery such as the park and the medicinal/herb garden in the gate area are also accessible.

By bus: Line 34, direction Heiligkreuzsteinach or Heidebuckelweg, stop Stift Neuburg.
By White Fleet: Kloster-Neuburg pier, from there about 5 minutes’ walk (please note that the first meters uphill are a bit steep).
On foot: Along the Neckar River to the monastery or via the Philosophenweg.

As a guest in the monastery
The community is always happy to welcome guests, "who is never absent from the monastery" (Benedictine Rule). Ten simple rooms are available for women and men in the monastic guest house. Guests can retire for a few days and participate in the services and meals of the monks or spend the time of their stay secluded and in silence. Apart from that, the monastery is situated in an enchanting landscape, which invites long walks in the nearby forest, to the Philosophenweg, to the Heiligenberg, or to a visit to the university town Heidelberg, which is rich in tradition.
Restaurant
The Gasthof Zum Klostergarten with a beer garden in beautiful natural surroundings offers a rustic ambiance with home-style cooking. You can find more information here.
Brewery to the monastery yard (Brauerei zum Klosterhof)
The Brauerei zum Klosterhof is a small organic brewery in Heidelberg on the grounds of the Neuburg Monastery. Small-scale craft beer specialties are produced there. For the cows on the farm, the spent grain (what remains of the malt after the mashing process) is a small delicacy. Sustainability even on a small scale... Helles, Dunkles, and Weizen beers are available here all year round. But there are also seasonal specialties, such as Kellerbock, Märzenbier, Maibock, and a light Sommerweizen beer.
For more information, see Brauerei zum Klosterhof.
